Robin Steinberg and the crew at Casa Pacifica have one special pooch, "Archie" is a wonderful therapy dog who lends a paw to those in need. Here is what Robin says about their special friend.
"Archie is a therapy dog at Casa Pacifica a crisis-care and residential treatment facility for abused, neglected, and at-risk children located in Camarillo, CA. When a child is removed from their home by Child Protective Services, they might be brought here to Casa Pacifica the “peaceful home.” Archie helps kids cope with their fears he comes and meets them when they are brought into our facility and often lets them hug him and cry into his fur. He lets them take him for walks and play with him, and he lets them read to him. He has a lot of responsibility around here and the children respond to his unconditional love. Archie is especially wonderful with our preschool children. He loves them. As soon as he sees them he lays all 165 pounds of himself on the floor so they can come and hug him, kiss him, and let them lay on him like a big pillow. In return, they often get a big, wet, slobbery kiss. Archie is an angel.
